2016 Springflat Shiraz

Springflat Shiraz, along with Alan’s Cabernet, is one of two wines Wild Duck Creek Estate was founded on. Originally being a single vineyard wine, we gradually introduced new vineyards to the blend, creating a truly regional wine. Springflat Shiraz is now a blend of four vineyards, two in the north on Cambrian soils over Ironstone and Granite, and two in the south on clay loams over mudstone. Matured in 40% new French and American oak hogsheads for 22 months, Springflat Shiraz is a wine created for the shiraz lover, who with careful cellaring will be enjoying this wine for up to 20 years.
